Haven Point is located on South Shields sea front and was first opened to the public in October 2013. Haven Point boasts a 25 metre competition swimming pool; 18 metre teaching swimming pool - both with adjustable floors for varying age groups and abilities; children's water play area with slides, sprays and bubble spa; sauna, steam room, an 86 station gym; two dance studios offering a variety of fitness classes. Haven Point also has a visitor information centre aka tourist information centre, a coffee lounge, cafe, outdoor terrace, two multi-purpose rooms, amphitheatre and a roof top viewing gallery.

We would recommend this leisure centre to our guests wanting to use it's fitness suite (gym) and swimming pool. It's children's water play area with slides, sprays and bubble spa makes it particularly child-friendly. Also it's only a few minutes walk from our guest house accommodation.
