Maersk Training in North Shields has specialised in maritime training since 2007 but now also offers the latest wind high rescue and technical training. It's training courses are attended by both seasoned professionals and apprentices in different industries including wind, maritime, offshore, industrial, construction and energy sectors. Maersk Training Newcastle is located in brand new state-of-the-art facilities in North Shields and includes classroom, practical and onsite training. Maersk Training offers a complete solution for wind training, onshore and offshore and maritime training. Maersk Training is approved by almost all the major turbine manufacturers and maritime companies. Maersk offers manufacturer specific wind training courses approved by RenewableUK and Global Wind Organisation (GWO) at the same location. In collaboration with partners Offshore Training Newcastle they offer fire fighting training and complete offshore OPITO approved, RenewableUK approved, boat transfer courses including BOSIET, MIST, HUET, FOET, PST and other courses for the offshore industries. Their maritime training provision includes ECDIS (generic and type specific like Transas, Raytheon, JRC, Kelvin Hughes), LCHS (Oil, LPG, LNG, Crude, Product, Chemical, FPSO), behavior based safety training, ship stability, leadership assessment, bridge team management, bridge resource management, wire courses (for supply vessels), security training and people skill courses.
