Alnmouth was founded in 1150 and is located approximately five miles east of Alnwick and the A1 motorway on the north east coast. You can see a video about what the village of Alnmouth looks like here...

Alnmouth golf club and golf course at Foxton Bay was established in 1869 and draws many visitors to it's picturesque 18 hole course.

The Schooner Hotel in Alnmouth is also of interest to many Alnmouth visitors as it holds the title of "The Most Haunted Hotel in Great Britain" with an apparent catalogue of no less than 60 individual spirits on the premises with over 3,000 reported sightings. The hotel's resident medium hosts regular ghost hunts and the hotel was the focus of an episode of TV's Most Haunted in 2008.
