Newcastle International Airport (NCL), Woolsington, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE13 8BZ is located six miles north west of Newcastle upon Tyne city centre. Newcastle Airport is the largest airport in the North East of England employing 3,200 people. It has a 2,329 metre long runway, 29 aircraft stands - 26 passenger and 3 freight. It was used by 4.46 million passengers in 2013 making it the 10th busiest airport in the UK.

If you are landing at Newcastle Airport and wish to travel to our guest house accommodation by Metro (train) you can find comprehensive directions on how to do this here: Directions From Newcastle Airport. The first train from Newcastle Airport is at 05:37 Monday to Friday, 05:42 on Saturdays and at 06:29 on Sundays. Trains run every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime, every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday evenings. On Sundays trains run every 15 minutes.
A single (three zone) ticket to reach our guest house accommodation in South Shields costs £3.40 with a DaySaver ticket allowing a full day of Metro travel available for £4.60. (Prices correct January 2015).

Fast Track Parking is situated immediately outside the entrance to Newcastle International Airport. Fast Track parking offers convenient and secure car parking from a few hours to several days with parking immediately outside the terminal building. However there is a premium for this, one day of Fast Track parking costs £23.00, two days costs £42.50 with subsequent days parking charged at £19.50 per day.
Express Car Parking aka the Express Pick Up And Drop Off car park is located immediately outside the Newcastle Airport terminal building. Express car parking is probably most suited for those picking up or dropping off travellers. This car park is ticketless, camera systems record vehicle entry and exit and an appropriate tariff is requested on exit. Payment can be made via coin hoppers or by credit card. There is a minimum charge of £1 for the first 10 minutes. There pricing structure is as follows: 0-10 minutes £1; 10-30 minutes £3; 30-45 minutes £4.50; 45-60 minutes £6; per hour or part hour thereafter £6.
Short Stay Parking is situated immediately outside the entrance to Newcastle International Airport and offers convenient and secure car parking from a few hours to several days it operated a turn-up-and-park policy with the following price structure: 30 minutes £3.00; 45 minutes £4.50; 1 hour £4.90; 2 hours £7.80; 3 hours £10.90; 4 hours £12.50; 24 hours £19.50, per day or part thereafter £19.50.
Medium Stay Parking is a short walk from the Newcastle Airport terminal building (see above map). This facility has a free parking period of 15 minutes for passengers wishing to drop off or pick up travellers. For those staying longer, like the Short Stay Car Park it operates a turn-up-and-park policy with the following price structure: 15 minutes = free; 30 minutes £3.00; 45 minutes £4.50; 1 hour £4.90; 2 hours £7.80; 3 hours £10.90; 4 hours £12.50; 24 hours £19.50; per day thereafter £19.50.
Long Stay Parking is aimed at those requiring car parking for two days or more. It offers both turn-up-and-park and pre-booked car parking. In addition to the above official car parking options there are several companies that offer secure car parking in the vicinity of Newcastle Airport which include a free 24/7 on demand minibus transfer which drops you and your luggage off at the Newcastle Airport terminal entrance. When you arrive at the airport you simply call them and the minibus will return to the terminal entrance/exit to collect you and return you to your vehicle.
